Kirk Kay has served as Lead Pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church since August 2022. Before coming to Immanuel, he served in various ministry roles at churches in Texas, Mississippi, and Kentucky. He also spent over seven years as a Chaplain in the United States Army, with deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan.
Kirk and his wife, Brandi, have been married for 24 years and love doing life together. Whether it’s going on walks, attending a cheer competition, or just enjoying a quiet evening at home, they’re happiest when they’re together. After 25 years in ministry, Kirk and his wife, Brandi, remain passionate about and committed to seeing lost people saved, hurt people healed, and God’s people grow in their relationship with Him. Kirk and Brandi have three children: Jeremiah and Kirklyn, who are both in college, and Kristen, who is currently in high school. Their family is a huge source of joy and keeps them grounded in God’s goodness and grace. On a personal note, Kirk enjoys golfing, playing guitar, and spending time with family.
Pastor Kirk holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, a Master of Divinity from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Talbot School of Theology at Biola University.
